Software QA Engineer (Localization)

Role Overview:

The Localization Engineering Team at McAfee Enterprise is responsible for localization activities including engineering, build, automation, test, validation, and delivery for all international products including Endpoint, Cloud & Data Protection.
As a Software Localization QA Engineer, you will be responsible for the validation of correct functional & user interface behavior of localized McAfee Enterprise software and applications.
The Localization Engineering Team works closely with internal partners including Language Services, Product Development, Product Management & Information Experience.

About the role

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality software experience across McAfee Enterprise localized products & applications

  • Perform manual and automated testing on localization and international functionality of software & applications Report issues via internal tools and by providing pertinent and detailed information and recommendations

  • Call out key quality issues to help drive issue resolution

  • Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for localized product releases

  • Identify areas of improvement in existing tools and processes, and address opportunities with innovative solutions

  • Work cross-functionally with localization engineering, software development teams, and external translators to ensure delivery of world-class localized McAfee Enterprise products.

About you

  • Solid knowledge of release, test cycles and tools related to localization and QA testing.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Flexible, pro-active, and team-oriented attitude.

  • Ability to independently learn new technologies.

  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

  • 1-2 years Software QA Engineer / Software Test Engineer experience, preferably in a Localization role.

  • Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Exposure to automated testing solutions an advantage.
